Motivation

October 8, 2015SamUncategorizedNo comments

JUST A LITTLE EXTRACT ON MOTIVATION AND MY THOUGHTS.

Motivation can come and go for some people, using it the right way is the key.

To be motivated – you see something you want and you go get it. This can be achieved by creating short term goals on the way and this will keep you hitting little benchmarks which will eventually get you to where you want to be. Always plan and keep focused on your main goal through out day to day life.

To be demotivated – you see someone who is achieving more than you and wish you could be them, without a second thought you suggest to yourself they are somewhat lucky to have what they have, their genes are better, they are taking drugs or supplements you don’t understand. This stops you instantly reaching anything you want because you have an excuse instantly why they have it and you can’t.

Im writing this because yesterday I trained bench press in the gym, I lifted what for me at this moment in time is decent and I know I’m on a progressive track. However someone came in and smashed what I lifted out of the park. Like most people I thought STEROIDS!!! And then I turned off them thoughts to my progression and focus on a longer term goal that in 3 months il be lifting that weight and more.I allowed the feeling of that person lifting more, to fuel my motivation further and made me want it even more!

Subconscious thought can be very dangerous when it comes to being motivated or demotivated. So you really need to stop these thoughts when they enter your mind and put a positive spin on them, stop being jealous or envious because if you really wanted it YOU CAN HAVE IT.
